We’re kicking off our new season with a rousing debate about THE question on everyone’s mind: Will AI help or HURT telcos in the end?

AI is touted as a revolutionary technology, one that will change the way we live, work and play. The big question, though, is what exactly those changes will look like. Telcos are well into trials aimed at figuring out the answer as far as their own businesses are concerned. The primary use cases that have emerged seem to focus on network automation and optimization, customer service and operational efficiency.

But are telcos really prepared for AI? Can they adapt quickly enough to truly take advantage of this technology? And will AI bring about changes that could actually hurt telcos in the end? Fierce Network Research’s Mitch Wagner and Linda Hardesty offering fresh perspectives from each side.
